LFLF picked this up at the library ...... "The American Way Of Eating" by
Tracie McMillan. Right now we're with Tracie on her 2nd stint at Walmart, this time in the produce section. The subtitle for the book is "Undercover at Walmart, Applebee's, Farm Fields, & the Dinner Table". So far we've learned some things .... not sure where this will end up in an editorial sense ..... at the half-way point now. It's farmers' market season, but a leading premise of the book is, "What if you can't afford $9 tomatoes?". Anyway, if not a beach book, at least it's a seasonal read .........
